How To Deal With Parent Against Interracial Dating?
My mom does not care at all but his mom is the problem because she believes in only dating within your race. She says she likes me as a person but can’t seem to get pass the fact that I’m not white. I mean I feel that love truly does not see color.
I’ve never been through this but I have a cousin who has a black boyfriend and her mom is completly against it. Her dad is okay with it (her mom and dad are divorced). I personally don’t completely agree with it, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to hate anyone because of it. And I love my cousin and support her because her boyfriend makes her happy. Color shouldn’t matter. Hopefully his mom will always be there for him, whether she agrees with it or not. It might be harder on you two, but true love makes it through anything. Good luck.
My father was the same way. We ended up not speaking for a lot of years because I married a black man. It was worth it to me, but your bf may not be able to handle it.
You should never force your parents to interracial date. its a personal choice.
