Single sex schools offer less exposure to different types of people.

single sex schools are as some believe may cause homo-sexuality.
being in an multi sex schools give the opportunity to students to communicate with the opposite sex.but being in single-sex schools raises students grades, in multi sex schools teachers as researchers have found out give more chances for male students, even though mostly females study more than males the researchers have shown that only 26% of girls go for physics in multi sex schools, however, females in single sex schools who go for physics are 77%.yet, only 6% of girls in multi sex schools go for physics in total (males AND females)…
happy to educate you.

All the statistics say that students are more likely to be successful in single sex schools, so your arguments probably won’t win you a debate.
However, some of the reasons are: not learning how to collaborate with the opposite sex during team-work projects, forcing people into a gender identity (where transsexuals may not feel as comfortable to be themselves), and a smaller spectrum of athletic options.

Recalling before there was a subject on why we should have mix – sex schools, so they propose why single sex schools are not good is this ;because when students come from a single sex school they tend to be over curious about what the opposite sex is like or have condemnation about the opposite sex. In a single sex school females will tend to become lesbians or males will tend to be gay if they fall for each other and then later realize that they like the opposite sex also and this will cause many dilemmas and distraught in their lives. in single sex schools u won’t be much exposed to activities probably the opposite sex like or u won’t be able to learn about stuff from how the opposite sex may think. Other natural tendencies like learning about your shyness are less. you may also be more judge mental about the opposite sex when u go out of the school, thinking them all bad in a certain way.

Well, yesterday all the girls in my form got into a huge mess, rumors and that. And people kept trying to drag me in, and accuse me of stuff like starting the whole mess, which I didn’t. And all of my guy friends were really nice to me and stood up for me.
Often people who go to single sex schools, get a job, but can’t work with the opposite sex because they only see them as potential boy/girlfriends. On the whole boys are rude and immature to women, and girls can be just plain weird.
Sorry if you didn’t understand some of the words, i’m from england
Hope I helped!

Going to school with a diverse population is vitally important for the social and mental development of the child.
School is where you fight to form your identity and sense of self… Where you learn how to control yourself around other people and where you find “Your Place” in society.
If you are only exposed to your own sex, you won’t be able to develop the ability to successfully interact with the opposite sex when you get shoved in to the “Real World” and that delay in learning coping mechanisms can lead to a number of years of retarded social functioning as the person learns to cope with new feelings and new experiences.
Boys and girls both enter middle school at pretty much the same emotional and mental state… But as soon as puberty hits, the mental differences between the sexes becomes wholly different!
Boys and Girls, Men and Women, are never at a more disparate point in their lives between puberty and late 20’s…
Male hormones cause boys to think of NOTHING but sex…
Female hormones cause girls to think of NOTHING but nesting…
It isn’t until men and women reach their 40’s to 50’s that they are actually at an even state of physical and emotional arousal. (When men’s testosterone levels lower and women’s testosterone levels rise, making them both want the same physical stimulation.)
If you keep boys locked away from girls, they will never be able to release their pent up sexuality and urges to be with girls until after their social learning stage has passed.
If you keep girls locked away from boys, they will go out thinking that boys think like girls (because they have no experience to show them otherwise) and to be blunt, women vs. men mentally and emotionally in their teens/twenties is the difference between the engines of the starship enterprise and the engines of a diesel truck…
Social development is a VITAL part of the learning process of adolescence.

Many high-class prep schools were for men only until about 1976 ? More families wanted their daughters to get a first-class education so in the US at least, most of them opened up. One of the odd benefits of this (don’t know if you dare write about it!) was that a very old tradition was put to rest. And that was that Seniors often had the unspoken “privilege” of picking out any freshman (newbie) and having anal intercourse. This was a continuation of life at British prep schools and men’s colleges.
This is why some of my cynical friends often refer to various former US Presidents and other politicians as “butt-effers”; they went thru all-male prep schools. I think it’s funny that no one cares to discuss this, then or now.

Girls and boys never get to understand the differences between each other, and then they have to face a lot of problems later on as they grow older. They are so troubled on finding an ideal partner later on and often have to marry the man/woman their family arranges…

They inhibit normal socilization skills with members of the opposite sex.

Because separate but equal does not work.
Because it’s not a single sexed world.
